T-shirts sent
almost 9 years ago – Thu, Jul 16, 2015 at 06:43:17 PM

Earlier this week we shipped the t-shirts to the folks that only ordered the t-shirt. You should be receiving them shortly.

Everyone that pre-ordered the bundles that included DVD’s or Blu-rays (which is pretty much everyone else) will need to wait a bit longer - sorry. We are still in production authoring and finalizing details for the DVD’s and Blu-rays.

We are behind schedule by a few months as theatrical screenings have taken a bit more of our time than expected. Given that our distribution team consists of 2-3 people, we are doing a pretty decent job. Thank you for your support and your patience... know anyone that would like to intern with us for a few months!? (we're serious)

Mike was just in Banff Canada screening the film to the local residents and Tour Divide Racers the day before the Grand Depart. A couple of the racers in the audience were also Kickstarter backers!!

A lot of the racers told us stories how RIDE THE DIVIDE was the inspiration for being in Banff about to start their epic adventure. It was amazing to hear many of these same folks say INSPIRED TO RIDE was our best film yet! I wonder what they will be inspired to do next?

It was also a small reunion as Brian Steele and Billy Rice who are featured in the new film were racing the Tour Divide - again...

We’ve been helping individuals, festivals, bike shops and cycling fans set up INSPIRED RIDE screenings around the world. If you have an urge to bring INSPIRED TO RIDE to your community please reach out and we’ll do our best to help you get everything set up and put into motion.

I have to say, these screening events are a blast! We are so proud to be part of the best cycling community in the world!!

Hi Mike here with a new update
almost 9 years ago – Tue, Jun 23, 2015 at 05:04:56 PM

I’m finally getting situated back in the office after our sneak-peak events in Co Springs, Salt Lake City, Boise, Bend and Portland. I also took a little time off to reunite with my family (I was preoccupied for awhile getting the film ready for it’s big debut).

The screenings seemed to be a hit! It was a fantastic feeling hearing everyones compliments on the film during our Q&A sessions.

I love it when you can get out from behind the editing bay and finally sit inside a theater filled with people all watching intently, laughing and cheering at the same time. There’s no better feeling in the world - it’s filmmakers crack!

The Mission Theater crowd in Portland was awesome!

I’ve been getting a few messages asking when we will start shipping everything.

Right now I’m working on the DVD and Blu-ray deliverables. There are so many extras I want to put inside but am running out of room (I might have to make the extra extras available as digital downloads).

Question **Do you guys actually watch the extras on DVD's?

Our designer Frank Wiedemann is working on the cover design, I’m getting all the content edited and curated, menu design and authoring is next in line then it gets shipped off to the replicators.

“Yeah, yeah”, I hear you saying. “Whatever, when do I get my DVD, Mike?”

Here is the plan:

- The 42 people who ordered t-shirts will receive them end of this month. I’ll start shipping just shirts the last week of May.

- Orders including DVD’s will likely ship the first or second week of June.

- Orders including Blu-ray’s will hopefully ship the second week of June but my past experience with Blu-ray replication is it always takes longer than you think. There are more licenses and authoring elements that go into Blu-ray creation. I’ll keep you updated on this…

We received all the laser engraved cases and titanium 4K usb drives from Re-geared. They look amazing! We made 50 of each and the extras will go up on our webstore http://www.inspiredtoride.it/store until they are all gone.

Finally, we are now helping individuals, bike shops, non-profits, cycling clubs, etc - bring INSPIRED TO RIDE to their community.

There are two ways to currently do this:

1. With our theater partner Tugg https://www.tugg.com/titles/inspired-to-ride

This is an amazing opportunity! It’s totally free to set up a screening in the US if your city has a connected theater. The host earns 5% of all ticket sales. The event can also be set up as a fundraiser possibly earning hundreds or thousands of dollars for your desired organization.

How TUGG Works

2. Purchase the Hosted Screening Package from our webstore http://www.inspiredtoride.it/store

- We ship you 4 full size movie posters, a screener DVD & Blu-ray, a stack of postcards, a t-shirt and a one time screening license to present the film in a bike shop, theater, art center, pub, school auditorium, film festival…

- Access all the digital marketing assets from this LINK

Our goal is to have 100 screenings set up this summer. The team is ready and standing by to answer any questions you have and help you set up a successful event in your town. Please let us know how we can help you.

Thank you again for your tremendous support! I hope to see you in a few theaters across the country this summer - I need my crack fix ya know ; )

Last day - premiere updates
about 9 years ago – Fri, Apr 24, 2015 at 04:55:14 PM

Today is the last day to get your survey questions answered and sent in.

85% of the surveys have been filled out and submitted - thank you! A reminder message went out to those still needing to button things up.

For some international backers it's possible shipping was doubled up between Kickstarter and Backerkit. If this happened to you, don't worry, I'll make sure you get reimbursed when the dust settles. Heck, I'll probably reimburse you double any overages - I apologize for any troubles this may have caused you.

Updates:

For those who purchased an Online Ticket and filled out the survey, you will receive an email this week with further instructions to access the links.

For those of you who purchased a ticket to the April 11Th Premiere, your name will be on a list at the door. Just check in when you arrive. Here is the address: 710 10th St Unit 110 Golden, CO 80401 American Mountaineering Center - Foss Auditorium. Come to the 2nd floor auditorium.

Tickets are still available so please let your friends know they too can attend this World Premiere Event https://www.facebook.com/inspiredtoride/events We can't wait to celebrate with everyone!

For those who will be crashing our party on April 9th at the Alamo Drafthouse, we'll be sending you a separate email soon.

It looks like a handful of tickets to this event may become available - keep an eye on the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/inspiredtoride

FAQ:

- The online stream of the film will be available for 48 hours.

- The workshops will be recorded and accessible later as well
